Philosophy
Philosophy
is a conscious attempt to find a system of ideas that explains as much as
possible about one's experiences and that proposes how one should try to live. (See:
Why philosophy is important)

The
following sections all are extensive series of files interconnected by
clickable arrows that contain the full texts of classics plus my comments.
These are about equally long and are a - new - way of using html in the
discussion of philosophy: one can link in the text of the originals.

Multatuli
is the alias of Eduard Douwes Dekker a Dutch philosopher and writer who lived
from 1820-1887. In April 2001 I started to put his IDEAS (Ideen) on line, in
the original text with my comments in Dutch:
Multatuli
Ideen + mijn commentaren
(Dutch)
There are now - since
2006 - full comments
on all ideas:
Book 1,
Book 2,
Book 3, Book 4,
Book 5,
Book 6,
Book 7.
Having started July 7, 2004 there is now a
beginning of my
Philosophical Dictionary | Filosofisch Woordenboek
This is in the process of being written and
so far almost 10 MB, with over 530 entries. It gives a reasonable view of my
philosophy in clear English.
