Logic   (Link to Logic)

Logic is the science of reasoning. Since every conscious human act, belief and desire involve reasoning - i.e. an inference of a conclusion from certainassumptions - some understanding of logic is fundamental to human reasoning.

I am in the process or re-working this part of my site.

At present there are first versions of

• Fundamental principles of valid reasoning.
• Fundamental principles of invalid reasoning.
   
• On the question why human beings cannot be computers 
   
• Classical Probability Theory and Learning from Experience.
• The measurement of reality by truth and probability.
   
• On "The Logic of Moral Discourse"
• On the Logical Principles Of Scientific Explanation

Of these Fundamental principles of invalid reasoning and On "The Logic of Moral Discourse" are without technicalities, and especially the first may be interesting for many persons.

• W.K. Clifford's "Ethics of Belief" + my Notes

This explains and comments Clifford's dictum - "it is wrong always, everywhere, and for anyone, to believe anything upon insufficient evidence",
